Your Dive Data, Always in View
The Shearwater NERD 2 (Near-Eye Remote Display) is unlike any other dive computer. Instead of a wrist display, its near-eye optics present a clear, focused image of your dive data that appears to float in front of you — so your decompression status, gas, and warnings are always in your line of sight without lifting an arm.
Built for Rebreather & Technical Diving
- Near-eye heads-up display that mounts to your rebreather loop or regulator hose for true eyes-up, hands-free monitoring.
- Full color display running the same trusted Shearwater interface as the Petrel and Perdix.
- Rechargeable battery with a typical service life of around 5 years / 500 charge cycles.
- Vibration alerts ensure you are notified of critical events even when focused on the task.
- Bluetooth with free Shearwater Cloud software for downloads and firmware updates.
Standalone or Hardwired to Your Rebreather
Choose the configuration that matches your unit:
- Standalone — the wrist/loop-mounted NERD 2 for open-circuit and bailout use.
- Fischer — a hardwired Fischer connector for integration with a compatible rebreather.
- DiveCAN Monitor (4-pin or 5-pin) — connects to a DiveCAN bus for full rebreather monitoring; choose the pin count that matches your unit.
Air Integration
The NERD 2 supports wireless air integration for up to four Swift transmitters. Add any mix of Swift and Swift GPS transmitters above to bring tank pressure and gas time remaining (GTR) into your heads-up view; the GPS model also logs surface entry/exit positions.
Who It’s For
The NERD 2 is purpose-built for closed-circuit rebreather divers and advanced technical divers who want their data constantly in view. Full open-circuit and closed-circuit modes with Bühlmann ZHL-16C + GF and VPM-B algorithms make it a serious tool for serious diving.
